When Buying Furniture Makes You More Mature

Just yesterday, some of my college buddies and I decided to meet together for one last time to celebrate two things. First, it is my birthday this coming week. Second, two of us are going abroad some time for some work-related tasks. Since we haven't seen each other in quite a while, we felt that we had to meet that time around or else not see each other for an even longer period of time.

After having dinner, we figured that we still had a lot of time in our hands before the screening of Salt for which we bought tickets, so we decided to tour parts of the mall. There we stumbled upon this large furniture store and decided to check in. Two of my friends were especially serious with their shopping search as they were looking forward to fill their apartment with more of these furniture.

It's intriguing. It was not only long ago when what we only did while fumbling around in university was to find a place where we could eat. Sure, we still do that now. In fact, we spent most of the afternoon thinking the best place where we could eat. But you see, life is not just about food and movies for us now.

There are the furniture. When a person buys furniture, you can bet that this person now has greater responsibility in his/her hands, because he/she already has a home to take care of. The world of responsibilities now not only revolved around the self, but also in the space where the individual resides in--and that gives a person a great sense of maturity, much like how some people mature quickly when given a pet.

Ah how time flies. Someday the opportunity will also come when the next thing that we're going to look at and purchase are supplies for our respective children. Now that's an added responsibility that I seriously do not like to think about at the moment. Some other time, please!
