What Does Your Home Furniture Tell About Your Personality?

We have varying styles on how we arrange home furniture, in the same way that we have varying styles when working with practically everything that we desire. It would be a tad boring world if we did everything in the same manner. Style gives variety and individuality. Style is a matter of taste, but it is also a matter of personality. Have you ever wondered what your home furniture style says about you and your personality?

First, we have those classy and organized home furniture sets that are the most common variety of them all. Whatever your theme is, you stick to this theme and make sure that nearly all arrangements in your home follow it. You always follow the golden rule of having a focal point in any room setting, while at the same time dealing with the not-so-little stuff like the color of your walls and the detailed sculptures in your lawn. If you are like this, chances you are an organized person with a very conventional approach to things.

Slightly the same but still different are those who adhere to a minimalist style of things. People call them minimalists because they want everything to look clean. They are called post-modernists because having a minimalist approach to furniture design somehow gives up a futuristic appeal to your home arrangement. Furniture are still decorative, but they border more on the functional side of things, with emphasis on light as a source of illumination. Bright colors are usually avoided. For many people, a minimalist look makes a house appear empty, but to some, it could look relaxing.

Then there are those that are bit on the eccentric or disorganized side of things. Their choices don't really follow a common theme. Each room has its own surprise. Each furniture don't look like they fit in the room. So why did their owners pick them? It's for the simple reason that they like them. How about a combination of modern and classic pieces? Can they stick together? Of course they can!

Many people will fall out of these three (3) categories. The reality is that it is difficult to sort people into categories and provide labels to their styles. How can we celebrate our individuality and style if we can just sort people like apples and oranges?
