Many people seem to hold the belief that carpets can really become a source of allergies for many people. It is still disputed by many carpet manufacturers, but many people claim that they are allergic to the fibers of the carpet. If your carpet is made entirely of wool and you are allergic of wool, then that may be the answer, but most of the time it isn't. When taking off the carpet immediately is not an option, there arises the problem.
Have you ever thought that it is possibly not the carpet per se that gives you the itchiness but actually the things that your carpet harbors? And by this, I mean the dust mites and other micro particles that get accumulated in your carpet through time. It is also possible that the allergy may be caused by the different chemicals that you spray around your home. If taking off the carpet is not an option, the best way that you can do in order to minimize the allergies is to clean your carpet regularly. By "regularly," we mean cleaning it at least once a week. This reduces the dust mites and the pollens that could contribute towards your carpet allergies. Stains should be cleaned immediately because they could result to molds then at the same time using shampoo on your carpet at least once a month. Use either those chemicals that you can use with your vacuum or have it cleaned thoroughly by professional carpet cleaning experts. Then again, for new carpets it can be easy to get allergic because of the chemicals that were used during the manufacturing process. These chemicals may be removed by making sure that the carpets are well-aired and put inside a room where there's adequate ventilation.
